What does charging cost across Berlin?
See daily average charging prices by power rating and compare the price range within Berlin districts.
Definition
The average ad hoc price per kilowatt-hour across every Berlin charge point publishing one, for each complete day, split by the charge point's rated power. The gap between the lines is what a driver pays for speed. The current day is not shown until it is complete, and the archive's first day is excluded, because a partial day changes which points are counted rather than what they charge. The ad hoc price a driver pays without a contract, in euros per kilowatt-hour including VAT, as the operator publishes it. Each row is one district at one power rating, so location and charging speed are already held constant and what remains is how far operators disagree. Cells with fewer than 8 priced charge points are left out. The spread given for each power band compares the MEDIAN of each district, so it says how far the typical price moves across the city. A spread of 0% therefore means the typical price is the same in every district - NOT that every charger charges the same. Each cell's lo and hi show the real range, which is usually much wider: Berlin AC 22 kW runs from about 35 to 58 cents across 42 operators while its district medians all land on the same dominant tariff.
